MiRi (Mura’s Institute for Infrastructure Development) advocates: + reforming of the existing network of cross-border inter-regional railway connections, which we named Mura-Drava-Rails Network (MDR-N); + reforming of two (and the third) missing links that prevent reforming of this network, the Mura Bridge on the border between Slovenia and Austria and a short section of the line on the border between Slovenia and Hungary and a new line from Beltinci to Lendava.
At the same time, we suggest that long-distance cycling routes be established along the existing inter-regional routes and thus enable sustainable, environmentally, health-friendly and to all of us friendly mobility in the beautiful regions along the Mura and Drava rivers.
