All accompanying events will take place at the Health Centre Radenci, Slovenia and in the City of Radenci. Online attendance, following the programme and interaction at the workshops, will be possible.
In order to allow a fruitful exchange between the international scientific and professional community as well as local actors from politics, administration, economy, and civil society to exchange ideas, the congress includes English, German, and Slovene language program sections.
Forecast of the importance of industrial infrastructure
We are following the mission of proving that railways and bicycles are key transport and mobility sustainable modes, as they were once already. We are working toward avoidance of unsustainabilities one at a time – if possible by using existing resources.
Mature economies will fall behind as they fail to modernize and green their industrial infrastructure. China will win this game—in wind, solar, battery technology, and railways.* Carlos Joly, Chair of the Climate Change Scientific Advisory Committee of Natixitis Asset Management, France* Joly, Carlos, 2012, p. 18 in Randers, Jorgen. 2052: A global forecast for the next forty years.
